Welcome back to our blog, it has been a while since we last wrote.
Happy New Year!! We wish you, your friends, colleagues and family all the best for the remainder of 2021.
We hope this year is a healthy, happy and peaceful year for us all. We know things have been very challenging on various levels for so many.
We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for continuing to trust and support Scullion LAW throughout the pandemic.
2021 has got off to a relatively positive start for us. We have all been working exceptionally hard from behind the scenes juggling working from home, home schooling and increased demand for all of our legal services. Thankfully things are slowly easing around us and all the kids are finally back to school. (We have a lot of working mums and dads in our team).
We have all really pulled together and are working tighter and more closely than ever before to streamline our processes to ensure that everyone is working efficiently and making the best use of their time. Clients have benefitted from smoother processes, clearer communication and an overall excellent experience. Client care is always so important to us.
THANKS TO YOU we were voted #1 Lawyers in Glasgow January & February via ReviewSolicitors.co.uk and we are grateful for every single review. Please keep them coming.
Feedback helps us to continuously improve and it also helps us to motivate, reward and recognise the achievements within our teams.
THANK YOU for your amazing feedback and THANK YOU for continuing to refer friends and family to the firm.

We are your LAW FIRM FOR LIFE.
None of it would be possible without regular, positive feedback from YOU our valued clients. So, HUGE THANKS for your continued support.
Most of our work continues to be done electronically
When the lockdown happened nearly 1 year ago we were able to pivot quickly as we have always had a culture where people could work from anywhere. For those who did not have access to laptops or office supplies, we have provided them and the majority of our team continue to work from home. Thankfully most things can be done securely online. This is advantageous for us and for our clients enabling us to reach a wider audience. We are delighted to hear that so many of you prefer the flexibility of doing things from the comfort and safety of your own home. Going forward, we shall give people the option of online or face to face appointments when it is safe to do so.
Networking throughout lockdown
We have enjoyed networking with the wider Scottish business community, joining coffee mornings and training sessions from the comfort of our kitchen. People have the time to meet up virtually and there are so many wonderful collaborations happening around us. With everything being online, time normally spent commuting can be invested into strengthening business relationships and creating new ones. Linkedin has certainly helped us to stay in touch. So, thank you to everyone who has connected with us over the last few months.
We have experienced unprecedented demand for our legal services over the last 18 months and are delighted to share news of our expansion.
We strengthened our Criminal Team with the appointment of Solicitor Advocate Urfan Dar in January 2020. We also recruited a new Secretary Hazel Rodden and just before Christmas we welcomed Associate Anna MacKay and Solicitor Lucy McKenna to our Court Team. Everyone seems to be settling in well and the department continues to go from strength to strength. Most recently, we appointed Senior Associate Nicola Buchanan to our Family Law Team. Please join us in making Urfan, Hazel, Lucy, Anna and Nicola feel very welcome.
We are presently recruiting for a Property Solicitor and also a Private Client Paralegal. Details can be found on the career section of our website.
Our support network
During lockdown (phase one) we established a support network for struggling individuals and families. The concept was discussed within the team back in summer 2020 and we have since rolled it out and continue to add to it. It is proving to be very popular. We now have over 14 coaches, therapists and counsellors in our network to offer a complimentary 20 minute discussion with all of our new clients who are considering separation or divorce. This enables them to make more informed decisions or to get the support they need to fix any issues that may exist in their relationship. We also offer this service to our clients who are experiencing grief and trauma. If you would like more information about our support network please click here or email firstname.lastname@example.org
International Women’s Day 8th March
To mark International Women’s Day we invited Amanda Miller to our team meeting via zoom to discuss human rights, equality, diversity and to share her experience as the first openly LGBTQ+ President of the Scottish Law Society. Everyone felt very inspired, informed and motivated to #choosetochallenge from listening to her talk. We learnt a lot and discovered that despite our firm being very openly LGBTQ+ friendly and very diverse, other firms and other professionals had a long way to go. We will do all we can to ensure that everyone who works with or in Scullion LAW feels celebrated, supported and valued as a human being. It is important to #bekind always and treat others how you wish to be treated. Together we can achieve more. What unites us is greater than what divides us.
