Scullion News & Resources
Sarah Monaghan has worked part-time at Scullion LAW since June 2015. She initially joined the firm as a Conveyancing Assistant, bringing with her 10 years of experience specializing in re-mortgage transactions from her previous role. Sarah’s responsibilities included supporting the Solicitors in their transactions, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth process. Over the course of her three years with the firm, Sarah’s role has evolved. She now holds the position of overseeing all re-mortgage, transfer of title, and discharge instructions received by the firm.
Additionally, she provides assistance to the Private Client and Family Law department as needed, helping clients with creating new Wills or obtaining Power of Attorney. Sarah was happy to participate in the team working on the highly successful ‘Free Will’ campaign with Marie Curie this year. She found the experience to be a significant learning opportunity and was grateful for the chance to contribute to such a fantastic charity. Marie Curie is a charitable organisation in the UK that provides care and support to people living with terminal illnesses and those close to them, and campaigns for better support for dying people.
She appreciates the opportunities provided by Scullion LAW, which have allowed her to learn and engage in different areas of the business. The support she receives when facing challenges motivates her to continue learning and adapting. In addition to her professional endeavours, Sarah is currently pursuing an LLB Law degree at Strathclyde University, with the aim of becoming a Solicitor. She is expected to graduate in June 2019. Sarah’s journey has been demanding but has also taught her the value of hard work and effort.
Diana, Head of Marketing at Scullion LAW, describes Sarah as an invaluable asset to the team. She highlights Sarah’s kind, fun, hardworking, focused, and motivated nature, noting that she successfully manages motherhood, part-time work, and studies. Diana finds Sarah truly inspiring and expresses the team’s admiration for her contributions.
