Getting to know our team: Stacey has been with Scullion LAW since 2012

We would like to introduce you to our New Business Secretary Stacey Hamilton.

‘I joined Scullion LAW in September 2012 as an Administration Assistant learning the daily tasks involved with running such a dynamic office. I was trained and managed very well by our Practice Manager, Shanna McDiarmid.

In June 2014 my Scullion LAW journey really began when I was given the opportunity to work my way up in the Criminal and Road Traffic department as the legal secretary for all the court solicitors. I really enjoyed working within this department and loved this role because every day was different.

My whole team were great to work with, they were all friendly and fun to be around which made the working day so much more enjoyable. I was given the best training and advice by my colleagues and felt hugely supported over the years. I really felt Scullion LAW believed in me giving me the responsibilities I’d asked for.

I went on Maternity Leave in July 2016. During my whole pregnancy, Scullion LAW were very accommodating to my needs at work. They managed my workload effectively in the lead-up to my final days so I did not feel stressed at any point.

Upon my return to work in July 2017 I was nervous, it felt like my first day at work all over again however, once I was back at my desk it was lovely to see everyone’s friendly faces again it felt just like just yesterday I was last there.

Scullion LAW made my return to work a smooth transition. I was offered a new role within the New Business Department which I accepted and have worked through various tasks which have allowed me to learn some areas of Conveyancing.

This was a huge change (of job and department) however with the training and support from my colleague I was able to adapt to my new role quickly. I have been an employee of Scullion LAW for five years and hopefully for many years to come.
