On 1 December 2019 our valued Mohammed qualifies and becomes a Scullion LAW solicitor.
We are thrilled Mohammed has agreed to stay on with the firm, where he has been a highly respected and appreciated member of the team since he started with us in Hamilton November 2016. After impressing everyone in the office with his hard work ethic, passion for client care and a willingness to learn, he was offered a traineeship in November 2017. We look forward to a long and happy future with Mohammed as part of the extended Scullion LAW family. He is really a credit to the firm and is based in our West End office, 730 Dumbarton Road 4 days a week.
On a Tuesday he continues to work in the Hamilton office.
Below are a few words from Gemma Miller Head of the Property Department.
Gemma says ‘Mohammed, I have watched your journey begin with Scullion LAW three years ago starting out in your career as a clerk then becoming a trainee solicitor and now you will soon be a fully qualified solicitor. I am delighted that you have chosen to stay with Scullion LAW to progress your career as a solicitor. You are a loyal, valued member of the team. I am delighted to have you in the Conveyancing Department. Here’s to retirement! Congratulations once again.’
Mr Nicholas Scullion quotes ‘Mohammed always goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. He is very kind, helpful and professional. Congratulations from all of us and thank you for everything you do. Hard work always pays off. Well done’.
Mohammed quotes ‘I had always wanted to work for a friendly, diverse and forward thinking firm and in the current legal climate where Traineeships are difficult to secure and I was extremely happy that I was offered a position at Scullion LAW in November 2017.
From the first day, there was a clear training structure and I was partnered up with a colleague who eased me into the systems and processes. During the next three months, I was given the opportunity to develop my legal skills and learn first-hand from solicitors and paralegals alike. At Scullion LAW, you are given great support and a lot of trust is placed on you which means that you are able to take part in client meetings, drafting documentation and being part of department consultations. Once my legal skills had developed, I was quickly given the opportunity to handle my own case load from inception to completion. This allowed me to experience the fast-paced nature of conveyancing – something which I really enjoy!
The highlights of my traineeship are working with Senior Partners on complex property and lease transactions, taking part in a Charity Football Tournament and our staff trip to Loch Lomond!
I decided to stay with Scullion LAW as it is genuinely a great place to work and a place which really believes in a work life balance – staff are encouraged to leave on time, enjoy their lunch breaks, take part in mindfulness classes and do something fun over the weekend!
Lastly, the firm respects everyone’s beliefs and accommodates for individual requirements which is very important to me’.
