I grew up in the East End of Glasgow. I’ve had challenges throughout and never thought I would succeed.
I didn’t really know what I wanted to do and decided to go to college, where I studied NQ Business Administration. I then went on to study an HNC; however, financial circumstances meant I couldn’t continue the course.
Starting out at Safeway (now Morrisons!) and moving on to B&Q. Both of these jobs were challenging but also rewarding, and they brought out my values in life.
I worked in temporary jobs for a while and then had my daughter. I was a lone parent and was required to go out and work after she was a few weeks old. I worked at my local newsagent and thereafter managed to find work at a solicitors firm in Dennistoun. From there, I worked as the office junior, making tea and coffee, typing and dealing with clients who walked in.
Having used my skills there, I then moved to Finlayson Wise at Parkhead, where I progressed my skills to become secretary and then legal secretary.
I was then asked about paralegal work, which I was keen to do, but then things changed, and I was unable to progress at that point. I spent 11 years at Finlayson Wise. I then moved to Scullion LAW, starting out as a legal secretary, progressing to a paralegal, and becoming accredited. This was very challenging but rewarding at the same time.
I enjoy crafts such as building Lego, making diamond art, and cross-stitching. I also enjoy the Bingo!
I joined the firm in 2019 and am an accredited paralegal. I meet with clients who are looking to prepare Wills and Powers of Attorney as well as family or executors of loved ones who require assistance in dealing with estate matters. Taking estates from beginning to closure, such as applying for Confirmation. I love helping people to make things a bit easier for them.
I am excellent at dealing with people, ensuring that my clients receive the same service that I would expect.
I can help you prepare a Will and Power of Attorney. If a loved one has recently died, I can assist you with a caring nature to allow you to grieve, and I can deal with the estate matters.
You should hire me to help you with matters. I am caring and can help you out with anything required. If there is anything I am unsure of, I will ensure that I find the answer for you.
