Scullion News & Resources

About me

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a lawyer. I have always felt injustices deeply. Possibly because I’m the youngest of 4 children.

I joined the firm in 2020 at the Associate level. I trained as a prosecutor with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, which involved roles in the Media and Communications Team, Appeals Unit, High Court Unit and National Sexual Crimes Unit. I also spent 12 months based in Edinburgh Procurator Fiscal Office, prosecuting all cases in the summary courts and case marking of summary and solemn business.

I have specialised in criminal defence since qualifying in 2012. I developed her reputation with an award-winning Legal 500 firm, Messrs Bridge Litigation. I have a breadth of experience defending in summary and solemn proceedings across Scotland, having conducted over 80 Sheriff and Jury trials across the central belt. I am a confident litigator, and fight to achieve the best outcome for every client in every case. I also have extensive experience in drafting and arguing legal submissions.

Interesting facts:

I worked as an intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague.

About my work in the firm

I joined Scullion LAW in 2020 as a well-established criminal defence solicitor. I was drawn to the diverse and inclusive approach of the firm. I also wanted to work somewhere where I’m given the time and resources to prepare and fight cases properly.

I deal with the full range of criminal cases, with a specialism in domestic, sexual and complex crime.

I am driven by a need to see justice done. And no two days are ever the same.

Skills:

I am meticulous in my preparation. Every case will be considered and prepared to the highest standard. I’m a confident and experienced advocate in court with a high success rate.

My experience means I can guide and lead my clients through what can be the lowest point in their lives.

How I can help

If you need an experienced solicitor who will listen, sympathise, and fight your corner, then I can help.

Why me?

I will always fight to ensure that my clients get the best possible outcome open to them. I am driven by my integrity. I always give honest and pragmatic advice.
