Scullion News & Resources

Diana McLeish has decided to leave the business effective July 31, 2023, to spend more time with her young family, including baby Mylo.

Professionally, during her eleven-plus years with our firm, she positively transformed our entire business via her passion, energy, dedication, and drive. Her focus was on marketing, PR, events, and charity work. She could lend her hand to any task and always went above and beyond what was asked.

She was a core member of our leadership team and consistently helped me make positive changes in the firm over the last decade. I, personally and professionally, would have been lost without her.

Diana has worked tirelessly to elevate us to the next level, taking us from a small boutique, family-run Hamilton firm to a national, award-winning, Legal 500 UK & Chambers and Partners recognised, charity-focused firm that is now famous throughout Scotland for being an excellent place to work. She also championed our reviews, and thanks to Diana, we have maintained our #1 listing. She also regularly encouraged the firm to get on and make the most of LinkedIn, which has attracted a lot of business and resulted in collaborations, including our ‘therapy/counselling network’ which evolved from an idea Diana had during the pandemic, which she worked on and grew with the help of Judith.

Personally, she was a rock to me. She was always by my side, through thick and thin. She was there to listen to me without judgement and always supported me through good times and bad, giving her clear guidance and advice along the way and always putting the firm’s needs first. Running a business could be a rollercoaster and lonely at times, but her passion, care, kindness, commitment, and warmth never faltered.

She helped us rebrand and relaunch from NJS& Co to Scullion LAW, building on our father’s legacy and taking it from strength to strength with the support of the wider team.

She single-handedly developed and ran our dynamic marketing department for several years by my side, and we are fully appreciative and grateful for her efforts. We will be forever thankful for everything she has helped us achieve.

It will be hard to match her energy.

Diana also launched our office premises in Cadzow Street (almost 10 years ago) via a star-studded event and has since delivered a handful of memorable internal/external events as well as helping us launch our west-end office.

She was always thinking of new, exciting, and creative ways to promote our business and was a cheerleader for everyone around her. Instilling confidence, excitement, joy, and positivity into everyone she met.

She has been a great strength and support to me personally, as I faced the challenges and opportunities that come from leading the firm through a period of change and growth, not least of which, the pandemic and my poor health that followed.

I want to personally thank Diana for her enormous contribution to the success of our firm.
