Claire graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2006 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Claire spent 10 years as a Lecturer in Corporate Finance and Business Law at the University of Stirling and Edinburgh Napier University, having completed an MBA in Finance at the University of Stirling in 1990. Claire has practised in Family Law and Civil Litigation since she qualified and spent 5 years at the Scottish Bar practising in Family and Employment Law before returning to Private Practice in 2016. She has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of Family law including financial provision in high net-worth divorce cases in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session, cohabitation claims, complex residence/contact disputes.
