We are proud to share two important promotions in our Wills, Powers of Attorney and Bereavement team. These changes show how we are growing as a firm and continuing to help more people with private client services.
Scott Smith has been promoted from Administrator to Trainee Solicitor. He began his traineeship in October last year after joining us in 2022. Since then, he has worked hard, learned new skills, and taken on more responsibility. He has also built strong relationships with the people we help.
From February 2026, Scott became a full-time member of our legal team. He continues to learn and grow under Ailidh Ballantyne’s guidance while helping clients with wills, powers of attorney and estate matters.
Scott said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Wills, Powers of Attorney and Bereavement team as a trainee solicitor, working with Ailidh. Having joined Scullion LAW in 2022 and having started my Diploma the following year, it’s been an exciting journey to reach this point. I’m looking forward to supporting the team, changing lives and making a difference for our clients.”
At the same time, we are delighted to announce that Ailidh Ballantyne has been promoted to Executive Director. This is a big step for both Ailidh and our firm. She will continue leading our Wills, Powers of Attorney and Bereavement team while also helping guide the future of Scullion LAW.
Our team supports people as they plan for the future and deal with difficult times. We help with wills, powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning and estate administration. This work helps people make important decisions and gives them peace of mind.
Ailidh said: “I’m delighted to see Scott take this next step in his career. He has shown real commitment and care in his work, and I have no doubt he will continue to develop into an excellent solicitor. I’m also proud to take on the role of Executive Director, continuing to lead a team that delivers such important work for our clients, while helping shape the future of the firm.”
These promotions show the strength of our team and our plans for the future. We are proud to support our people, grow our firm, and continue helping our clients when they need us most.
