Scullion News & Resources

About me

I grew up on the West coast of Scotland and then moved to a small village in South Lanarkshire as a teenager, where I still stay.

I left school after 6th year and got my first job as an office junior in a busy Hamilton solicitors firm, where I was told it was my cheery disposition that landed me the role.

Over the years I have worked for a few law firms, mainly sole practitioners. I have also worked as an estate agent as well as a financial advisor, which allowed me to gain a vast experience from all angles of the property sector. Having worked in Hamilton all my working career, I got to know the management at Scullion LAW and when I was approached to join the firm, it was a no-brainer.

Interesting facts:

I love helping in my community and volunteer at the local primary school to do paired reading, and am treasurer of our local Play Park’s Group helped create a new play park for the children in our village.

I regularly raise money for Alzheimer’s Scotland and have raised a cumulative total of over £2,300. Both my parents have Alzheimer’s and it is a cause very close to my heart.

About my work in the firm

I joined the firm in 2015.

I deal draft all the deeds required for the conveyancing and attend to the registration of these at Registers of Scotland. I also assist the conveyancing team as and when necessary.

I love that every day can be different. I love helping my colleagues when I can.

Skills:

I am a good listener but an even better talker. I love sharing my skills and knowledge with my team.

How I can help

I can liaise with clients, colleagues and solicitors alike and treat everyone the way I would wish to be treated.

I am a very kind and understanding paralegal. I put myself in my clients’ shoes and see matters from their point of view whilst maintaining a level of professionalism and delivering the five star service that we at Scullion LAW aim to achieve.
