Scullion LAW is celebrating a double shortlist at the Herald Top Employer Awards 2025. The firm has been named a finalist for Top Employer (Small Business) and the Employee Career Development Award.
The awards recognise organisations that create supportive and progressive workplaces. The ceremony will be held in Glasgow on Wednesday 29 October 2025, bringing together employers from across Scotland who put their people at the heart of what they do.
This news follows another success for Scullion LAW, with the Family and Criminal Law teams both finalists at the Herald Law Awards 2025. Together, the shortlists showcase the firm’s growing reputation for legal excellence and its commitment to being an employer of choice.
“Your Law Firm for Life” is more than a tagline at Scullion LAW; it’s a way of working. The same care and attention given to clients are shown to colleagues through mentoring, training, flexible working, and clear career pathways. Every member of the team is supported to develop their skills and thrive.
Head of Operations and Performance, Shanna McDiarmid, said the recognition reflects the dedication and passion of the firm’s people. She described it as a milestone moment that celebrates their commitment to each other and to building a happy, supportive workplace.
Career development remains a cornerstone of the firm’s culture. In the past year, colleagues including Yvonne Fleming, Stephanie Grieve, Aimee Holmes, Anna MacKay, Conor Greenan, Charmaine Trainor and Ailidh Ballantyne have all achieved major career milestones. Since 2024, the firm has grown by 28% through new hires and promotions.
The focus on people extends beyond the office. In 2025, Scullion LAW’s charitable work was recognised in the Scottish Parliament, and the team received the Corporate Volunteer Award for their support of Home-Start Glasgow and North Lanarkshire.
By championing people, progression and purpose, Scullion LAW continues to create a workplace where colleagues feel valued and inspired. That energy carries through to the firm’s client service and its continued recognition in Legal500, Chambers and Partners, and ReviewSolicitors, where it holds a 4.9 out of 5 rating from more than 2,000 client reviews.
