Senior Partner

At the age of 22, Founding Partner Nicholas James Scullion went as a mature student to Glasgow University where he was Honorary Secretary of the Union, Scottish Universities' Lightweight Boxing Champion and a member of the University's Air Squadron. His apprenticeship as a Solicitor was under the guidance of Sir James Falconer at Glasgow City Chambers where he learned about various aspects of local government including Planning, Licensing and Conveyancing and Leasing.

After gaining experience in various Local Authorities he decided to go into Private Practice on his own account and in 1979 opened Nicholas J. Scullion & Co. Solicitors as a sole Practitioner in Hamilton. He quickly developed a successful reputation as an excellent Court Lawyer, winning cases other firms would not take on and by 2010 the Firm had won the accolade of being voted Criminal Law Firm of the Year.

Mr Scullion now represents Private Clients throughout the whole of Scotland, both in the Courts and specialist areas such as VAT, Medical Disciplinary Tribunals and Road Traffic Defence. He also specialises in Fatal Accident and Planning Enquiries.
